The aim of the research was to measure the thermo-physical characteristics of molding sand mixtures for the foundry industry and define the limits of technological conditions for their operation (20-1000 ° C). It was the determination of density, expansion coefficient, heat capacity, thermal conductivity and diffusivity for a wide range of temperatures. These materials for the foundry industry should be tested under actual operating conditions (method of loading, ambient temperature, the chemical composition of the atmosphere, pressure, etc.). Based on sample dimensions and documents delivered (chemical composition, range of operating conditions) established a methodology to solve the problem: 1. Determination of the size and geometry of the test pieces. 2. Determination of the test conditions. 3. Manufacturing specimens. 4. Experimental conducting tests and measurements. 5. Evaluation of the experiment and writing technical reports.
