Influence of Carbide Particles Spheroidisation Process on Microstructure after Quenching and Annealing of 100CrMnSi6-4 Bearing Steel
Original language description
The article compares structure and properties of quenched and tempered steel 100CrMnSi6-4 pretreated by conventional soft annealing and ASR. The smaller ASR particles size allows the use of lower quenching temperatures ensuring the desired final hardness. Samples in hardened state were compared considering the prior austenite grain size, carbide particles size and distribution as well as hardness.
