Original language description
The objective of the experiment was studying the impact of deoxidizing/modifying agents containing alkaline earth elements (calcium, barium and their mixture) on steel quality. There were evaluated three kinds of modifiers CaSiBa, FeSiBa and FeSiCa. In COMTES FHT were casted four ingots of steel C25E that were differently deoxidized at the end of casting process. The impact of modifiers FeSiCa, FeSiBa and CaSiBa compared to pure Al was aim of the study. The results are summarized in point below: Alkaline metals contributed to spheroidization of NMIs No difference in content of NMIs and strength of materials No significant noticeable effect of barium
