Options of genetic testing and methylation analysis of circulating free tumor DNA (tumor cell-free DNA) isolated from peripheral blood of NSCLC patients
Original language description
The results of our pilot study demonstrate the potential use of free DNA in the peripheral blood not only to investigate the presence of EGFR mutations and KRAS gene but also for the examination metylation status of genes important for the biological behavior of non-small cell carcinoma. EGFR mutations and KRAS were used in this study as a marker of the presence of tumor DNA in peripheral blood.
