Pseudo-Gothic No More: The Haunted Campus in The Lecturer?s Tale by James Hynes
Original language description
"In her article, the author deals with a contemporary campus satire by James Hynes, The Lecturer's Tale: A Novel. The campus novel, as a genre, tends to reflect the current ideological, economic and epistemological concerns at universities as institutions, and can therefore be correlated with its extra-literary context. This article explores Hynes's novel as a satirical commentary on contemporary North American universities, in which the campus novel intertwines with Gothic literary conventions. "
