The author focuses on the insights that the theory of education can draw from psychoanalysis, individual or analytical psychology and associated therapeutic techniques. He explains how they can contribute to an understanding of educational phenomena, disorders of socialisation and their effective prevention. The text describes the origins and development of the relevant psychological theories and their influence on the evolution of educational thought in our country. After 1990 we can observe a strong revival of interest in these themes. On the other hand, the use of psychoanalytical methods and therapeutic techniques by educational workers who are not equipped for these activities can have very undesirable effects. The essay looks at the possibilitiesand limits of the exploitation of methods derived from psychodynamic approaches in upbringing and education. It outlines the basis and rationale of therapeutic training, supervision and Balint Groups. The author suggests its potential im
