The conference was supported by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GA CR) and the CZ.Nic Register, the conference language of the conference was Czech (1st and 3rd sections) and English (2nd section), presenting from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and USA. In a postmodern global society, intangible intellectual property is crucial to a successful and sustainable business. The vast majority of entrepreneurs are actively using the Internet, e-business is an integral part of their business, and the website is commonplace. However, similarly unambiguous conclusions have not yet been adopted regarding the definition, function and significance of the domain name and therefore it is crucial to conduct a comparative search and continuously submit its outputs at national and international level and to continue in further research, its evaluation and transfer to practice. Within the framework of GA CR project No. 13-02203S for the period 2013-2015, the expert research group from MUP develops many activities in this field, mainly of a publishing nature, and the said international conference was a great opportunity for direct presentation and exchange of views. This opportunity has been fully exploited, especially in view of the high quality of the presenters and their contributions and the considerable interest of all present in the discussion. In particular, it is necessary to highlight the contribution of foreign presenters about fundamental but completely neglected aspects related to the enormous potential of domain names for business in the Czech Republic, namely SEO in relation to domains and fluctuations in the prices of shares offering domain names. The international conference made it possible to compare different perspectives on business through domain names and domain names, confirmed the basic hypothesis of the project not yet fully appreciated the importance of domain names and offered a number of other suggestions, both officially and in the form of anonymous questionnaires. The MUP research group will certainly take these initiatives into account in its further work and is already looking forward to the next international conference on the subject, which it will organize in a year.
