Review of hydrogen production by high temperature electrolysis
Original language description
Research Center Rez, close to Prague, is focused on research, development and innovation in the energy sector, primarily nuclear. Within the European infrastructure programme SUSEN until 2015 an equipment for testing high-temperature electrolysis cells and short stacks will be built up. Furthermore it will be possible to simulate the thermal coupling of high-temperature electrolysis with another energy process. This simulation should show if this coupling is technically possible, economically reasonable, and should clarify the long-term degradation behaviour of the incorporated components and materials. The research Center Rez is a member of HYTEP, Czech Hydrogen Technical Platform, which brings together all stakeholders interested in hydrogen technologies in the Czech Republic. HYTEP also represents Czech Republic in other European hydrogen associations.
