The work describes behaviour of T91 (9Cr ferritic-martensitic steel), MA957 ODS (14%Cr, 0.3Mo, 0.9Ti, 0.25%Y2O3 produced by mechanical alloying process) and PM2000 ODS (19%Cr, 5%Al, 0.25% Y2O3) steels after long-term exposures in liquid lead-bismuth eutectic. Small bend specimens (1x3x10 mm3) were pre-stressed according CSN ISO 7539-2 standard and exposed to flowing lead-bismuth melt in the COLONRI I convection loop at 350˚C for 100, 500 and 1000 hours. The content was monitored by using Bi/Bi2O3 ceramic oxygen sensors; the corresponding concentration was in the range 10‑6‑10‑5 wt. %. Then, the specimens were post-test examined using SEM equipped with EDX and microhardness tester. The resulting changes in chemical composition and microhardness close to the surface are discussed. The liquid metal embrittlement crack initiation was not observed and the conditions are commented.
