Original language description
Due to the demand of more precise data gathering that will concern the geometrical changes of fuel assembly after operating in a reactor core, the CVŘ team has set up the laboratory for ultrasonic measurements of fuel mock-up. An additional advantage of the system is decreased time consumption, required for measurements and data evaluation, i.e. the output of the newest CVŘ system concerning the state of the fuel assembly is immediate. Nevertheless, the most unique feature of the UT measuring system is the possibility to perform the measurements in mutual relative movement of the UT sensor and measured object. The system is sensitive for detection changes within the measured distance and simultaneously the energy of the signal.
