Original language description
General solution for the disposal radioactive waste is storing in the repository. The organic material belong to important components of radioactive waste. Ones of significant representative ILW are ion exchangers which are based on polystyrene polymers and are integral part in technology of PWR reactors. The model wastes were irradiated in gamma facility, the total dose was about 1 MGy, which is presumed dose during first 1,000 years. Microorganisms are widely occurred in near surface and underground water and can be activated and affect processes in repository. This work describes preliminary experimental results.
