    Study of Radiation and LOCA Impact on Concrete Properties

  • Original language description

    The effect of gamma radiation on concrete is still not clear to the technical or scientific public. This paper presents the results of accelerated gamma irradiation experiment on small concrete samples in normal conditions, i.e. laboratory temperature, humidity and air pressure. The experiment was complemented with testing of samples under loss of coolant accident (LOCA). Comparison of radiation damaged and reference samples is made.
