Determination of extensive set dosimetric reaction rates for testing of the neutron spectrum unfolding codes
Original language description
Extensive validation of cross sections was carried out in years 2015 – 2018 in the reference neutron field of the experimental light water reactor LR-0. In frame of these validation experiments, set of precisely measured reaction rates was obtained. It was found that several of these reaction rates can be used for the characterization of neutron spectrum in advanced reactors, which have very similar spectrum as the spectrum in the large void channel of the experimental light water reactor. Presented work summarizes the reaction rates measured in the high-energy neutrons tail, shows the neutron spectrum reconstruction form these points, and proposes their ratios, so called spectral indices [xxGriffin], for neutron spectrum characterization. The reaction rate set can be used for neutron spectrum reconstruction which can support or serve as independent validation of neutron spectrometry based on active systems, if there is sufficient amount of measured points, given by the different reaction energy.
