    Safety has the highest priority in the operation of the nuclear power plant. With scientific knowledge and increasing experience of the operation of nuclear installations, increase demands for the qualification of the workers and reliability of the equipment to ensure safe operation of power stations. Even in the event of a severe accident, it is necessary to ensure the reliability and functionality of all safety devices in the reactor containment [1]. One of the many difficult tests is the LOCA (Loss of Coolant Accident) test, which simulates the environment inside containment during a nuclear accident caused by a refrigerant leak. The LOCA laboratory in the Research Centre Řež is used to develop the process of equipment current and future types of nuclear power plants.
