Spectra measurement of 238 Pu-13 C source
Original language description
The precise description of the neutron spectrum is crucial for the measurement of cross sections and well defined integral experiments. Radioisotope sources such as PuC are one of the most widely used neutron sources for different purposes. The neutron spectrum of this source was measured with narrow energy bins for energies greater than 1.3 . 3 MeV in this experiment with the method of stilbene scintillation spectrometry and the NGA-01 system. The measured neutron spectrum was also compared to simplified simulations in MCNP6 with satisfactory agreement. Effect of the internal structure of the neutron source was tested thoroughly with simulations and is also presented here.
