Jules Horowitz Reactor - first operation phase with fuels and materials
Original language description
The article describes the activities within the Jules Horowitz Operation Plan (JHOP2040), a project funded by the EU. The European members of the construction consortium are engaged in planning for Euratom's utilization of their 6% access right to the reactor capacity. The paper outlines discussions held within three main working groups (Fuel, Material, Technology) and summarizes the key outcomes of the ranking process, which aims to identify R&D priorities within the JHOP2040 team. Additionally, a list of initial steps for the JHR reactor's commissioning is provided, including the conduct of first fuel and material tests, along with the commencement of technology development efforts.
