    The Aging Influence on Material Properties of GOST 08CH18N10T Stainless Steel

    The article is aimed on material behavior of GOST 08CH18N10T stainless steel and its changes due to thermal aging influence. The study summarizes material properties, particularly material changes in impact energy measured on small notched specimens at various temperatures and in thermoelectric power measurements. The testing material involves initial states of stainless steel, material thermally aged in laboratory conditions and material after 28 years of operation in power plant conditions. The influence of chemical composition and microstructure is discussed.
