The objective of this project was to determine the differences of breeding values of growth and reproduction in beef bulls in artificial insemination and bulls in natural service. The survey involved these breeds: Charolais, Limousine, Beef Simmental, Hereford and Aberdeen Angus. Both direct effects (presented by growth ability of the animal itself) and maternal effects (presented by milk ability of a mother) were involved in the research.

Czech description
Cílem této práce bylo stanovení rozdílu plemenných hodnot ve znacích reprodukce a růstu u masných plemen skotu v inseminaci (ins.) a v přirozené plemenitbě (p.p.). Do sledování byla zahrnuta plemena Charolais, Limousine, Beef Simmental, Hereford and Aberdeen Angus. Plemenné hodnoty byly sledovány jako direct effects (prezentované vlastní růstovou schopností jedince) a jako maternal effects (prezentované mléčností matky).
