Soil organic matter and physical characteristics
Original language description
The aim of this study was to evaluate changes in the amount of soil organic carbon (SOC) and the effects of the soil organic matter on bulk density, total porosity and maximum capillary water capacity. The trial with permanent grasslands was fertilized with animal fertilizers (slurry; mixture of cow manure and dung-water) in three model cattle loads (0.9 LU per ha, 1.4 LU per ha, and 2.0 LU per ha). On the basis of our results we can conclude that the SOC content was affected by application of slurry. Furthermore, there was found statistically significant impact between soil organic carbon and bulk density. Model cattle load has an impact on the porosity. Poster presentation.
