Proc book of the 28. Congres of the European Simmental Federation, 22-27 Sep, Siófok, Hungary 2009: 59-61. The paper deal with growth and meat yield of hybrids Czech Fleckvieh with beef Simmental (SI) and Charolais (CH). Higher average daily gains were achieved in hybrids C x CH (1000 g) compared with 930 g in grading up animals with MS under the age of 120 days, these differences were at the significant level p<0.01. Difference (p<0,001) between the breeds was maintained at the same level until the ageof 210 days (960 g CH vs. 880 g SI). After weaning there was a decrease in daily gain in CH heifers to 740 g and 810 g for SI at the age of 365 days. This trend was even at the age of 500 days (710 g SI vs. 690 g CH), but with non-sig. differences between groups. By the age of 210 days was also evaluated the effect of sex. There were confirmed differences between the years of monitoring up to the age of 365 days, but at older age 500 days have been differences non-significant.
