Supplier Suitability Evaluation using the Fuzzy-Logic Based Expert System
Original language description
Determination of suppliers? suitability is a complex decision-making task, requiring compliance with a number of various aspects. Its solution requires high-quality experience which included an expert with his mental decision-making model. For a computerrepresentation of the decision-making processes expert systems are intended to be used. Models of decision-making tasks have a linguistic form; to formalize their uncertainties the approaches of fuzzy sets mathematics and fuzzy logic are used. The hierarchical fuzzy-oriented expert system is introduced in the paper as well. Its decision-making function is focused on suppliers? suitability determining. Numerical simulations of its effectivity are presented.
