FUZZY MULTI-CRITERIA DECISION-MAKING MODEL FOR PERSONNEL SELECTION OF ACADEMIC STAFF
Original language description
Selecting the best personnel among several applicants is a multi-criteria decision-making problem that contains various types of uncertainty. The uncertainty arises when the qualitative criteria are used which makes the partial evaluation uncertain and when the importance of criteria is not described precisely. The necessity of dealing with uncertainty in the personnel selection problems leads to fuzzy decision models since fuzzy sets theory brings a suitable tool for describing and dealing with the uncertainty. In this paper, the fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making model based on the fuzzy weighted average will be described for the personnel selection of academic staff.
