The Fuel Boost Pump Control Electronics and Pilot Information Cockpit Display’s Development
Original language description
This article deals with a brief description of the MOSTA project (Modernization of Small Transport Aircraft, CS-23 category) outputs; the first output is a prototype of fuel pump control electronics (FPC) of the boost fuel pump (BFP), the second one is the Pilot Information System Demonstrator (IPSP). The development of a new generation equipment was invoked by the aircraft producer’s strict requirements for a new design that implements “Damage Tolerance” maintenance philosophy. The ”Damage Tolerance” philosophy increases the operation life of the aircraft and decreases maintenance costs. Both equipment were designed with the goal to reach the “Damage Tolerance” philosophy of maintenance by using of modern components and technologies like brushless electrical motors (BLDC), new long-life capacitors, modern embedded control elements, etc.
