The Vol. 8 of complete textual bilingual (in English and in Czech) Bohuslav Martinů Complete Edition brings in the critical edition the two concertato works for the solo instruments and orchestra: Concerto da Camera for solo violin, string orchestra, piano and percussion from 1941, and Rhapsody-Concerto for Viola solo and orchestra originated in 1952. Solving the extremly difficult source situation concerning the Concerto da Camera, thoroughly described both in foreword and in critical report, enabled the editors to publish the work for the first time in a form respecting all composer´s intention and interventions that lasted almost 14 years up to the first publication in 1955. In opposite editing the work and gathering all sources concerning the Rhapsody-Concerto brought another problems in fact that all few important sources for the critical edition are in private possession and higly difficult to reach. All new infomations concerning genesis and early reception a publication process includes the foreword. In a facsimile there is published a fragment of the comlete draft of Concerto da Camera and also pages from the autograph important for different stages of revisions of the composition.
