SENTIX is a prospective, international, single‑arm study evaluating sentinel lymph node biopsy without pelvic lymph node dissection in patients with early‑stage cervical cancer. This presentation assesses the sensitivity of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and expert ultrasound (EUS) in preoperative clinical staging. A total of 690 eligible patients (FIGO 2018 stages 1A1/LVSI+ to 1B2) were enrolled. MRI was used in 46.7% and EUS in 43.1% of cases. Histopathology revealed previously unrecognized parametrial involvement in 3.8% of patients and sentinel lymph node metastasis in 9.9%. MRI and EUS demonstrated comparable sensitivity for tumour size assessment, detection of parametrial invasion, and identification of macrometastatic nodal disease. Combining both imaging modalities did not improve diagnostic performance. The findings confirm that MRI and EUS offer similar accuracy for preoperative staging of cervical cancer.
