The presentation was delivered within the Postanalytical Working Group at the international EUROMEDLAB Rome 2023 congress. The contribution focused on urolithiasis from the perspective of the postanalytical phase of laboratory testing, with emphasis on interpretation of laboratory findings related to kidney stone formation. The role of postanalytical validation, correct interpretation of metabolic parameters, and interdisciplinary collaboration between clinical laboratories and healthcare providers in preventing disease recurrence were discussed.
