The presentation was delivered at the joint meeting of the Preanalytical and Postanalytical Working Groups of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM). The contribution focused on clinical biochemical aspects of kidney stone disease, particularly on urinary risk factors for stone formation and on a stability study of urine samples used for their assessment. Preanalytical and postanalytical factors affecting the reliability of laboratory results were discussed, highlighting their importance for correct interpretation and clinical decision-making in the prevention and management of urolithiasis.
