    AtenaCloud is a cloud solution for nonlinear simulations of bridge structure behavior. The cloud solution is described in the report "M4.2 Computational engineering system extension on Grid-Cloud v2.pdf". AtenaCloud is a newly developed web application and web service that combines capabilities of ATENA software with the power of Google Cloud Platform, specifically the Google Compute Engine. The core of AtenaCloud is a server-side web application, that implements Google Cloud Compute Engine API to programmatically create virtual machines in cloud environment and run ATENA task defined in ATENA input file format on them. Cloud machines are based on pre-installed hard drive image with Windows 2012 Server, ATENA and support tools. The application creates virtual machines dynamically upon request, allowing many processes to be run simultaneously and reasonable cost. In theory, unlimited instances can be run simultaneously.

    AtenaCloud allows users to use our software ATENA and other tools on cloud based computers. These are created instantly, with all needed software pre-installed. Data can be uploaded/downloaded via this web application. The default hardware configuration for cloud machines is 2 core CPU with 8 GB RAM, but other configurations up to 96 core CPU & 624 GB RAM are also available. The AtenaCloud web application also includes functionalities for task management, statistics, visualization of results, billing and user administration. Communication and data exchange between virtual cloud computers and AtenaCloud web applications is ensured by a compact web service, preinstalled on each cloud instance. Computers can be operated from any operating systems including mobile platforms iOS and Android.
