Original language description
Goal of this work was to test semi-industrial electrodialysis module ED(R)-Y with low thickness ion-exchange membranes and ion-exchange membrane foils, and new spacers compatible with them. Results were compared to results from standard Mega a.s. ED(R)-Y module. Module with innovated IM LT or MF LT was capable of faster solution desalination when batch tests were performed and also had higher desalination degree when single-pass tests were performed than standard module. Internal leakages and external leaks were almost the same.
