    Iron Aluminides Ultimate Thermal and Strain Effects Analysis

    Because of their structure and characteristics, the iron aluminides Fe3Al are generally classified as difficult to weld materials. Low plasticity and high spatial stresses values cause cracks during the welding process. For the analysis and development of welding procedure we use welding numerical simulations in the Sysweld programme. This program however does not make it possible to locate dangerous places in way of cracks on the base of spatial stress computed data. That is why the Technical university of Liberec created a special program, which is able to detect potential critical places in light of cracks on the basis of the Sysweld programme output data. The present article deals with the analysis of the welding procedure by Sysweld programme as well as with the definition of critical parameters of temperature and deformation processes effects, which lead to unacceptable defects in the Fe3Al type welds made by 141 method in compliance with the EN ISO 4063 (Tungsten Inert Gas Weldi
