Analysis of Selected Financial Statements in Automotive in the Czech Republic
Original language description
Automotive industry belongs to one of the most important sectors of the economy of the Czech Republic. Its impact on the amount and growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is considerable. The main aim of the paper is to analyse the selected financial statements of companies operating in automotive industry in the Czech Republic. There is a duty to present financial statements on the website http://or.justice.cz in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, many companies do not meet their duty and do not public their financial statements and due to this reason they may face fines from the authorities. On the other hand, they can damage a competitiveness of other companies on the market and they can obtain market advantage compared to the other competitors. Usually, it does not matter whether the companies are audited or not. Restrictions by the state authorities are currently higher in comparison with previous years, but still many companies pay rather fines than present their financial statements. Automotive is very important sector of the Czech economy and for this reason here comes a question if the situation is better in automotive than in other sectors of the economy or not.
