Risk Management in SMEs - A Comparison of Qualitative Factors in Czech and German Medium-sized Industrial Companies
Original language description
This publication examines the importance of success areas (dimensions) of Czech and German industrial companies in the scope of company risk management. After an introduction, which presents the general practice of risk management in medium-sized companies and of the review of literature, the presentation of research results follows. In the following evaluation of the results, a comparison of 2 country specific reference models will be conducted in order to derive similarities and differences. The research presented in this study draws on preliminary works done within the project EWS conducted at the University of Applied Sciences in Dresden and the following research efforts undertaken at the University of Economics in Prague. In conclusion, possibilities for the setup and integration of an operational, strategic risk management as a part of company management will be presented via recommendations in the proposals for action.
