The article consists of two parts. In the first part, the author considers the theoretical background of the concepts as nations, national memories, and conquest humiliation. In the second part, the author describes the Oromo national political and social memories, outlines their memories as independent nation to the last quarter of nineteenth century. Finally how the country of this nation colonized and lost their independent and discusses their memories of humiliation under colonial rule. Concludes, the struggle of this people to regain their national independence.
