Digital Transformation of Public Administration
Original language description
Application of IT in public administration is usually understood as a way to higher performance of existing public administration authorities, digitization of existing documents, easier spreading of information, and better control over citizens than as a way to the transformation of the public administration business model. However, the digital transformation of public administration is nowadays more significant and acute than in any other area as it is also stated in famous OECD E-government Imperative: “E-government is more about the government than about the “e””. In the chapter, we analyze the essential factors of public administration business and propose the way to the application of the idea of digital transformation in public administration based on the idea of process-driven management as a representative of the essence of digital transformation.
