Original language description
The general objective of the tests was to conduct a preliminary assessment of capability of available wire detectors to detect command wires that are considered a threat in NATO military operations. The primary test objective was to study the dependenceof the detection performance of the particular available handheld wire detector as a function of a number of target and sensor parameters. The initial analysis of the impact of ambient electromagnetic (EM) radiation, particularly radio frequency (RF) transmitters, on the performance of wire detectors during the trials at the test site was made.
