Original language description
A workshop on the philosophy of John R. Searle, which took place on May 23, 2011, in Prague. It consisted of a full lecture by John Searle ("The Intentionality of Visual Perception") and four papers dealing with various aspects of Searle's philosophy: Petr Koťátko with his philosophy of language, Josef Moural with the position of Searle within the context of analytic philosophy in its historical development, Pavla Toráčová with Searle's theory of institutions and Josef Moural again with the possible role of Searle's theory of institutions in the problem of the foundation of ethics, especially as formulated by Ernst Tugendhat. The workshop was well attended (over 100 participants) and there was a plenty of time for discussion. There is a video documentation on Youtube.
