Original language description
The article presents the results of the archaeological superficial survey in valley of San Savino southwards of Tarquinia. Since the peripheral areas of the Antiquity cities are frequently neglected, the project was focused on the superficial research of the area of the San Savino valley, which is directly adjacent to the city of Tarquinia in the southern side. The project was also focused on the visual research of the southern side of the limestone cliff, on which the proper city is located. It has revealed many important information about the course of the municipal fortification wall, position of the southern gate as well as about the location of several architectonic structures.
