Immunities from the Past to the Present.Trajektory of Immunities.

  • Original language description

The article deals with the institutions of immunity and privileges as they grew from historical roots and their current form. The authors seek an answer to the question of the extent to which their existence is compatible with the principles of equality in a democratic state governed by the rule of law and conclude that they are important as a tool for protecting the holders of individual powers and thus ensuring a balance between them. The specific form of privileges and immunities is demonstrated on the examples of selected institutes of European countries.
