Original language description
An editorial introduction to the volume Martin NITSCHE, Olga LOUCHAKOVA-SCHWARTZ (eds.). Image and Imagination in Phenomenology of Religious Experience. This introduction presents the roots of phenomenological theory of imagination in the works of Husserl, Heidegger, and Merleau-Ponty. Initially it emphasizes the essential role of imagination in building the phenomenological consciousness, consequently it explicates the interplay of imagination and image-consciousness, and finally it introduces the lived world as an imagined-and-real sphere.
