Surface Roughness in Machining Free-Machining Cooper Alloys
Original language description
Presented paper deals with environmental problems related to machining cooper alloys. Lead is traditionally used for completing free-machining copper alloys. Unfortunately lead affects the haematological and nervous system. Therefore copper alloys containing lead represent one of the greatest problems in world production. Research Material Institute in Panenske Brezany together with the Department of Machining, Process Planning and Metrology CTU in Prague developed new environmentally friendly cooper alloys. Some of the research results related to surface roughness are presented.
