    Casting Al-Si alloys in engineering practice called silumin are nowadays often used. The reasons are very good casting characteristics, which include high fluidity, low tendency to shrinkage, low susceptibility to hot cracking formation. Other importantadvantages of these alloys are good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, good weldability and machinability. Generally, the casting alloys like Al-Si are vaccinated in order to increase mechanical properties (strength and ductility), improved machinability, improved castability, reduced porosity and reduced susceptibility to cracking when shrinkage. Hypoeutectic and hypereutectic alloys Al-Si are inoculated. For hypoeutectic alloys the structure consists of primary crystals of alfa solid solution (substitution solid solution of silicon in aluminum) and alfa + Si eutectic.
