Original language description
Production and construction asymmetry of road and railway vehicles under kinematic excitation influences the time flow of the wheel pressures. It has an influence on wheel wear on roadway vehicles and rail wear on railway vehicles, especially on drivingsafety. Production and construction asymmetry was found during the experimental investigation of the basic parameters of mechanical properties of a four-axel freight wagon type Smmps, done at VUZ Velim in Czech Republic, in collaboration with FVTM. Thiswas an impulse for a systematic investigation of the influence of asymmetry on the vertical vibration of complex mechanical systems. The current contribution introduces a methodology of analytical solution of vertical dynamic response of the system considered herein, when driving over rail surface unevenness, with the consideration of influence of viscous damping.
