Substitution of Bearing Races Grinding Operations of Large-diameter Cilindrical Bearings by Hard Turning
Original language description
Maintaining possitions in the highly competitive envinment of global markets in the field of rolling bearings casuses constant need for production efficienty increase. The products now have higher quality demands along with shorter production times and reduced production costs. The aim of the article is to optiize finishing manufacturing processes of bearing races, after the analyses of quality demands of large-diameter bearings, manufacturing options and examing of curent knowledge about hardened steelturning, focusing on the replacement of grinding operation by hard turning operations with intention to minimize machine time and production cost together with keeping the quality of machined surface.
