    Paper deals by problems of nanoparticles and nanomaterials applicated in technical practice. There are mentioned embodiments of production TiO2 nanoparticles which are carry out by fine milling processes. Realization of functional tests related to the physical properties of the resulting particles and subsequent application in practical activities in the field of engineering practice. Research on the use of nanoparticles has at present a great development. Their potential has a large of use. Particles of nano-size, ie below 100 nm exhibit other properties than larger particles and because this area is being explored in all possible sectors. This article deals specifically with the possibility of extending the lifetime of working metal surface by choosing of the best variant of nanoparticles.
