Options for generating Road Unevennesses in Vertical Vehicle Dynamics
Original language description
Actual roads are characterized by random unevennesses, which mainly cause vertical vibration of vehicles. This may adversely affect the comfort of the driver, the passengers and their health, or the failure of the mechanical or electronic components of the vehicle. The article presents mathematical models of road unevennesses and numerical simulation of vertical dynamics of planar vehicle models with kinematic excitation caused by these road unevennesses. Mathematical models of both deterministic and random unevennesses are described. When examining transient phenomena, standardized obstacles according to STN 30 0560, resp. of EU Directive 85/3 / EW6-III are applied. Random unevennesses can be obtained experimentally, or generated by the Shinozuka method to create a mathematical model of an uneven road with a specified power spectral density.
