Influence of welding jigs on weldment distortion
Original language description
The type, number and position of a jig has a significant influence on a final weldment distortion. Choose of the jigs for a serial production is very important and difficult task for keeping of a high quality of welded products. Prediction of a displacement before welding process requests a lot of experience or use of a FEM simulation software. In this software is possible to assess a welding distortion and define the best welding sequence and a jigs. In this article two weldments are compared, each of them uses a different type and design of a jig. In the results is visible different weldment distortion caused by using of various types of the jigs.
