The author deals with the creation, analysis and interpretation of Janacek's Our Father. In historical documents appeared yet unpublished facts. His work is complemented by a cycle of paintings by J. Krzesz-Mecina Ojce Nasz, as published in the Warsaw periodical Tygodnik illustrowany. These images have become a model for vivid images, accompanied by Janacek's music. In the second part of the publication is described the second version, as revised and premiered in Prague in 1906. The publication is accompanied by attachments, music scores and examples of naming index.
