Motor tests for admitting students branch outdoor activities
Original language description
The aim was to contribute to solving the question whether it is appropriate to only one motor test (endurance running) in the admission procedure, and this test seems to have explanatory value to other motor skills. We measured students in these tests: shuttle run at 20 meters, aerobic fitness ascertained by Katch-McArdle Step Test, throw the ball with both hands full of 2 kg heavy, long jump, chin-ups on, for men in endurance chin-ups on for women, layt-sit again for one minute, in deep forward seating, Iowa Brace test, another indication of the stature, weight and calculate BMI. In the study, we answer two questions. First, what level of motor skills are current students first year of this field in comparison with the general population, and second,whether running the 800 meters for women and 1500 meters for men is a true indicator of performance in other motor skills for students in this field.
