The article deals with the issue of using the factor of nonsense in an English classroom not only to enjoy the teaching - learning process but to add to the vocabulary-enhancing strategies. The article is based on some theory concerning nonsense (its literary aspects), and also nonce words as well as non-words, widely used in linguistic research. The article offers a number of classroom activities.
