A Short Reflection on Speech-Act Theory of Literary Fiction
Original language description
The essay focuses on speech act theory and its proposition to deal with question of fictional discourse (the so-called theory of pretension). According to author of the essay, fictions come into being as imitations of language representations. Fictionalutterance is also seen as a declarative (performative) speech act, as it creates a state of affairs through its own illocutionary force.
